Surprise Showers and Gifts

The month of May has brought two surprises from two very important groups!

The first weekend in May we were invited to a Jr. MYF barn party and since my parents were here we weren't sure that we were going to make it. The morning of the party the sponsers were discussing the importance of Jim and I being there and that my parents should also come. Jim soon got the picture that we should probably go. :) When we arrived we were pleasently surprised by a baby shower! The kids all brought gifts and they had supper and cake. It was so nice to be thought of in this way and we received many very useful and fun gifts. Here are a couple of pictures of the gifts we received as well as our attempt to set up the play yard - a little tricky when you have never been around one before. :)

Last Sunday we walked into Sunday School class with the MYF to find a pile of gifts on the floor from this group! It was neat to also see their response to our anticipated bundle of joy and we were very excited to go through a large basket of baby items as well as several other gifts. We didn't get pictures of all of these gifts but below are some of them, we also got a nice start on baby food!

We are so grateful to both of the Junior High and Senior High for their thoughtfullness and generosity and can not wait to share Mr. Sprout Man with all of them! They are going to make great older brothers and sisters!
